Internship - Weespertrekvaart
ENTRANCE
During my internship I had one main project which I worked on every week. This was all about the lighting in the entry hall. For the project there was only one demand, that it would be made of fluorescent tubes.
With that in mind I created multiple design that are possible with these tubes. They ended up liking the vertically hanging tubes the most, so that’s what I focused on. The lights consists out of the light tube itself and a brass fitting around the ends. On the ceiling the cable gutter is also made from brass to make it whole. On the walls there are another four lights added as that was their request to make use of that wall as well.
Eventually they chose to have a lowered ceiling to hide the cables and transformers. The also decided that four elements where too much for them so we reduced them down to two elements. In the last few drawings are the technical drawings that I drew for the fabricator of the lights and for the installer in the future.
